...AND HOW ONE DEAF MAN IMAGINES WHAT EACH LETTER SOUNDS LIKE
(Self-Satisfied 0059)
"This album was supposed to be a conceptual album. I wasn't, however, clever enough to actually do something musical that would relate to the letters themselves. I basically just set myself a goal to compose 26 tracks and title them letters of the alphabet. I had never come up with so much material all at once. "A" is the first track that I created and "Z" is the last. So, basically, the album is a chronological movement. It took me about three weeks to compose everything. Not very long, but I worked on each one until I was pleased. I feel quite proud of this album as a whole. It's Swellzombie's Opus."

"This album made me realize how much I've been underestimating Marc as a legitimate, important sound artist. Shame on me. I mean, I've loved everything he's done, but this collection of digital whispers and shouts, with its creepy glimpses of Marc's organic presence and moments of nearly intolerable tension, dares you to challenge its importance. Brilliant." -LEVI BAILEY, CLEAR DAYS ALWAYS |
