More raw, self-loathing, hateful rock from The MLB, with a few gorgeous surprises. The outstanding "for her", "the heart of child" and "final rest" could fit comfortably alongside any of Aphex Twin's lovely piano pieces, while most of the other songs will make you feel like you're in a nasty Detroit bar that is burning to the ground. Honestly, though, this album surprised the hell out of me, in the best way possible. Outstanding.
