DEVIL AND THE DEEP BLUE SEA
Attack Of The Chupacabra
(Self-Satisfied 0010)

"Another two disk release from the Seattle duo Chris and Marc in the Spring of 2003. This collaboration showed that they found their nitch and they wanted to exploit that. MORE film samples! MORE found tape samples! And the second disk was another live piece. At first released with random live episodes they later released it with their last live performance at the Shongo Village. Their love of movies of the B kind is ultimately present here as well as other genres. The album's title and layout is inspired by horror films on the low budget side. There are a lot of tracks on here that really stand apart from Respect because of their differences in how they approached them. Chris begins with Das Ugly Charlie using the Peanut's famous theme music with some German rants from Troma's Killer Condom. Then to end it Marc reads a Chick pamphlet in a faux Scotish accent on smeared tape recording. Smack dab in the middle, the personal and entertaining Dial-a-Song Messages play. Mostly created for their own nostolgia. But also to show that they too can be humbled and exploited like they've done to numerous strangers." -marc palm
