02/27/2009. Hey. Wow, I didn't post here for a whole year! It's like 2008 didn't exist on this site! Actually, I posted plenty of stuff on our MySpace profile in 2008, but I guess I neglected this shit. If you care, I'd love to hear from you! It would be delightful proof that there's anyone out there actually visiting this website!

I'm listening to Prince's "7" right now, from the Love Symbol album. So good. It's because Matt just called me and told me he found Sign O' The Times on vinyl, and I asked him if he remembered this song, and he did, and he loves it, and I love it, and we've both got huge boners for Prince right now. I've had a boner for him for a few weeks just lately, actually. He's brilliant. So it's nice that Matt is sharing my boner.

So, yeah, we released Tammy last year on Self-Satisfied, and it didn't make too big of a splash. I think we took too long putting it out, and it had too much old material on it, maybe. We'd never recorded some of those songs, though, so it was nice to hear them all shiny and shit. Fuck it. Can't win 'em all. So now we're taking a little break. I want to toss out fucking every song. We've been playing the same songs for almost ten years, and it's sad. It's hard to practice with people you live hours away from. It's hard to get excited. But we really want this to happen, we really feel good together, so we're just going to start from fucking scratch. No offense to anyone who loves what we do, I really appreciate it, and I wrote these songs, so, obviously I enjoyed them at some point. I'm just totally fucking bored now. This is disgusting. I'm torching the whole fucking house, and I'm leaving the country, and I'm going to start one of those freaky cults somewhere in some jungle or desert, and the results will be our next album. Not sure when that's going to be, but I'm pretty sure it's gonna be super fuckin' neat-o. Talk to you later.
